The challenge
Enterprise criteria that don't bend
Global institutions evaluate lending technology against criteria most vendors quietly fail: sub-second performance at high transaction volumes, independent security assurance with regulatory alignment, and seamless integration into a complex enterprise architecture.
HSBC needed specific lending capabilities to slot into a global banking ecosystem, not a wholesale replatform, and not a procurement exercise that left them carrying integration risk.
The approach
Single-tenant deployment with audited security and decisioning
Cloudcase was deployed using single-tenant patterns designed for data isolation, with security evidence backed by ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and SOC 2 Type II certifications. The integration platform supports REST/JSON and the legacy formats that enterprise architectures still require, alongside real-time decisioning and configurable workflows with audit trails.
Performance and security weren't bolt-ons. They were the baseline that made the platform eligible for HSBC's assessment in the first place.
The outcome
Simpler, faster and better than competing technology
HSBC's own assessment described the platform as “simpler, faster and better” than competing technology. Their evaluation highlighted Cloudcase's configuration-driven approach, fast policy execution, and the ability to support complex decisioning without the constraints of tree-based rule models.
Sub-three-second automated decisioning, single-tenant data isolation, and proven monthly throughput of 30k+ applications across the customer base provided the operational backstop behind that verdict.
